2010-2011 Summer Registration
Introduction to Course Registration
Online Registration Dates:
Rising third-year students (current 2Ls): Monday, April 4, 12:15 PM – 11:59 PM
All Continuing Students: Thursday, April 7, 12:15 PM through Monday, May 30, 11:59 PM
During the Summer online registration period, all students, irrespective of class year, can drop or add courses as long as space is available.
Students must obtain permission from Dean Oates to make schedule changes after the open Add/Drop period has ended, beginning Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Permission will only be granted with good cause. Students permitted to drop a course after the second week of classes will receive a grade of “W” (withdrawal). No courses may be added after the second week of classes.
Students who fall below 4.5 total credits may no longer be eligible for scholarships or financial aid. With the exception of co-op, students are not permitted to take more than 7 credits during the Summer. Please note that this is a change from the previously published policy.
If a course is full, students can put themselves on a waitlist for that particular course by selecting the waitlist option in Banner. The process is described in the Registration Instructions. The last day for waitlist placements will be Friday, May 27, 2011. Students who are added to a waitlist are not guaranteed to be registered for that course, so students should sign up for other courses to complete their course schedules. Waitlist eligibility does not override other registration restrictions.
In advance of registration, students are invited to attend (or view online) any general advising presentations offered, as well as consult with their faculty advisor. Additionally, rising 3rd year students may want to schedule an appointment with OSA to ensure that all requirements are being satisfied in preparation for graduation.
Finally, the following individuals are available to discuss aspects (as noted) of the course planning and registration process:
Theresa Gallo (theresa.gallo@drexel.edu): waitlist and course registration assistance
Dean Filler (daniel.m.filler@drexel.edu): program requirements; permissions; academic advising
Faculty advisor or Concentration director: academic and personal advising
