Pro Bono Service Requirement

Welcome back 2Ls and 3Ls! I hope you all had a wonderful summer. As you begin the Fall Semester, keep in mind that it is time to start working towards satisfying the 50-hour Pro Bono Service Requirement.

The Pro Bono section of the Drexel Law website has now been updated. You can find the Pro Bono section under the “Academics” pull-down menu (http://www.earlemacklaw.drexel.edu/academics/pro-bono/). The Pro Bono Service Handbook, explaining the policy, guidelines, procedures, and responsibilities for the Requirement is available to download, as well as the forms you will need to fill out to register for a project, keep track of the time you volunteer, and receive credit for the work you have done.

An updated list of the 17 Pro Bono Opportunities that are available for recruitment this Fall is available here.  Training for these projects will take place during the first few weeks of the Fall Semester.  If you are interested in participating in any of these projects, please be sure to submit your resume and rank your choices in order of preference no later than the registration deadline of Wednesday, August 29 at 12:00 p.m.

For more information on the projects described below, or the Pro Bono Requirement, in general, please be in touch. I’m excited to work with all of you to find a rewarding and meaningful pro bono experience.
