We are converting the handbook to a new electronic format which will be on the web shortly. Some hard copies of the handbook are available now in OSA.
- Virtual Community
The Virtual Community has moved to Sharepoint. We anticipate that this will be a more convenient and useful platform. You can access the Virtual Community through the "Sharepoint for Students" link on the Law School's website. Remember that this is where you will go to retrieve your anonymous IDs before exams.
- Name Changes
As a reminder, if you have legally changed your name, you need to notify OSA so that we may adjust your file and other student lists.
- Financial Aid
Financial Aid Packages for returning students were mailed out on July 16. Federal Stafford Loans have now been replaced by Direct Loans where the student's lender is The US Department of Education. Students who wish to accept these loans should go to www.studentloans.gov and log in using their FAFSA username and password. There you will be able to sign your Master Promissory Note. | Fall 2010 Parking Permits for Law Students | A Notice from the Parking Services Department
Because the Earle Mack School of Law will begin a Semester Calendar at the end of the current summer term, the Law School Parking Permits have been adjusted to track with the Semester System. And since the Law Student calendar will run on a different schedule from other Drexel quarter programs at the University City Main Campus, this process is separate from the regular student permit parking process. The payment adjustment converts the 4 quarterly payments per year into 3 semester payments. And students may choose to buy One semester (Fall), Two semesters (Fall & Spring), or Three semesters (Fall, Spring & Summer = Annual) all at once. (The rate is the same for both quarter and semester programs on an annual basis, the number of payments is just 3 instead of 4.) Renewals Students with summer permits may renew for the Fall semester before finals end from Monday, July 26 through Friday, August 6, 2010. By renewing current permit holders may keep seamless services between term breaks and holidays, and take advantage of the convenience of already having the permit prior to the start of the next semester by following the renewal process at the end of each semester. After the renewal deadline anyone may purchase un-renewed permit spaces. To renew, just complete a new Parking Permit Sales Contract (http://www.drexel.edu/dbs/parkingServices/forms/) and make purchase for $540 at the Parking Office. New Customers New and returning Law Students may begin purchasing and using Fall Semester permits from August 9 through August 27, 2010. The Parking Office is located in the Garage, Room 124. Please drop by to receive the new parking permit hang tag. If you have any questions, please contact Parking Services at 215-895-2813 or parking@drexel.edu Note: Current Summer Term Law Student Parking Permits expired on Sunday, August 8th, 2010. ^ Top
