Moot Court Internal Competition - Important Dates
Prospective Moot Court Board Members:
The internal competition will commence in the coming month. The competition involves writing a brief and oral argument. Please register for the TWEN page titled "Moot Court Internal Competition 2011." The competition rules are located under the Course Material tab. This will also be the page to which you will upload your final brief. Thank you for your interest, and please direct any questions to Drexellawmootcourt@drexel.edu.
Here are some important dates:
- Problem release- July 1
- Last day to download problem- July 29
- Brief due uploaded to TWEN- August 1
- Oral Arguments- September 10

Congratulations to Scholarship Recipients
Each year, the Justinian Foundation awards a scholarship to a student entering their third year of Law School who has demonstrated excellence in academic studies; has a record of service to their school and/or community and who is a person of high integrity. We are pleased to announce VICTORIA CARACCIOLO as one of the recipients of this prestigious award.
A special scholarship named in the memory of Jules Fioravanti, former Chancellor, was awarded to a graduating senior of LaSalle University entering Law School in the Fall of 2011. We are pleased to announce the recipient of this special award: Incoming 1L, MEGHAN KELLY (Class of 2014).

Financial Aid Announcements
Financial Aid Packaging for returning law students will begin the first week of July. Please make sure you have submitted your 1112 FAFSA and Drexel Institutional Financial Aid Application.
Students can begin applying for 2011-12 Graduate Plus Loans on July 1st at www.studentloans.gov You can request either the maximum amount allowed by your budget OR a lesser specified amount. If this is your first Graduate Plus Loan or you have an endorser, please make sure to sign the Master Promissory Note (MPN).
Any student wishing to decline or reduce a Subsidized or Unsubsidized Direct Loan should email Mary de Rivera at mmd88@drexel.edu from their Drexel email account or submit their request through Ask Drexel https://ask.drexel.edu/.

New! James W. Stoudt Memorial Law School Scholarship - Deadline: December 3, 2011
The Pennsylvania Bar Foundation is currently accepting applications for the James W. Stoudt Memorial Law School Scholarship. This award provides four, $3,000 scholarships, two of which are specifically designated to support minority law students, to second year students attending any one of the eight accredited law schools presently serving Pennsylvania. Applicants must be able to document residency with either a current voter registration card or current Pennsylvania driver’s license. Missouri University/CIArb Writing Competition - Deadline: August 15, 2011
This writing competition is sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) North American Branch and offers a $300 prize to the competition winner. The winner may also have his or her winning submission published in the Journal of Dispute Resolution along with other symposium papers. The Journal is recognized as the leading legal publication in the area of alternative dispute resolution and contains articles written by nationally and internationally prominent authors and students on a wide variety of topics.
