Preparing for the Bar Exam

Notices from Professor Kraybill:

Register for the B.E.A.T. Program Now!

Once again, the Law School is offering the Bar Exam Accelerated Training (“BEAT”) program free-of-charge for all 3Ls. Whether you're taking the PA, NJ, combined PA/NJ, NY, or another state's bar exam, this BarBri program is designed to give you a head start on preparing for the July 2011 bar exam. The program features a review of Contracts, Criminal Law, Evidence, and Property -- all subjects tested on the MBE and the essay portion of every state bar exam. In addition, you will immediately put into practice what you learned by writing answers essay questions (two of which you will submit for grading by an experienced BarBri attorney/grader) and by answering MBE-type questions. And for the first time this year, the BEAT program will include a 100 question simulated MBE followed by a detailed analysis of all of the questions by Professor Lisa McElroy, an experienced lecturer on the MBE. The BEAT program begins on January 28/29. Each BEAT session will be offered on Friday afternoon and repeated on Saturday morning. Although the BEAT program is free, you must register by clicking on the following link - BEAT Registration Spring 2011. If you have any questions about your BEAT registration, contact Professor Kraybill at nancy.c.kraybill@drexel.edu.

Bar Talk - Tuesday, February 1, 2011

Hey Drexel 3Ls: Come by Room 420 on Tuesday, February 1 from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m. for a discussion about the bar exam application process hosted by Drexel alum and Themis attorney Kevin Frost. We will also talk briefly about studying strategies and stress management, and also give a quick overview of the Themis Bar Review course and our exciting new improvements for the summer exam.

Why should you come? I can think of four good reasons, at least: 1) Applying for the bar exam doesn't need to be stressful—find out what information you should be collecting now to make the process easier; 2) Hear what it’s like to study all summer for an exam; 3) Learn a little bit about a great bar review course; 4) Free lunch.

Sponsored by Themis Bar Review.
