Conference Details
The 2010 ASLH Meeting will be held Nov. 18 to 20, 2010, at the Doubletree Hotel, centrally located in the heart of Philadelphia's cultural district.
The two hotels with which the Society arranged special rates no longer have accommodation for the full duration of the meeting, and there appears to be no availability at reasonable rates at other hotels in central Philadelphia. There is another big convention and the Philadelphia Marathon in Philadelphia that weekend. Although it may be worth checking the links below in case someone cancels a reservation, we encourage those looking for rooms to consider staying near the Philadelphia International Airport. Rooms are available at a variety of airport hotels for under $110 per night - substantially less than the conference rates at the Doubletree and Hyatt Hotel at Bellevue (check Expedia or Travelocity) and it is easy, inexpensive, and quick to travel from the airport to a station within a short walk of the Doubletree Hotel. Alternatively, if enough people choose to stay at airport hotels and so inform the Society Treasurer, the Society could arrange a shuttle service between the airport and the Doubletree at a cost of approximately $50 per person for the duration of the meeting.
