Biography
Beth Haas is a former partner with Blank Rome, LLP, where her practice focused on aviation litigation, product liability defense and toxic torts. She maintained an extensive federal and state court practice, with particular emphasis on liability defense of high-profile aviation accidents and related insurance coverage and risk management issues. She also handled numerous environmental contamination and product liability claims on behalf of a multi-national chemical company.
Professor Haas has developed and is teaching the law school's first online courses: Professional Responsibility and Evidence.
She is a member of the American Bar Association's Tort and Insurance Practice Section, the Air and Space Law Forum and the Aviation Insurance Association.
She received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, where she was an associate editor of the Villanova Law Review.
She founded and is immediate past-chair of Settlement Music School’s Young Friends Committee. In 2011, she was elected to the Board of Directors of Living Beyond Breast Cancer.
